Turismo Onix Patagonia is a Cochrane-based company devoted to showing the Calluqueo glacier. We have been operating since 2010.
Pioneers in glacier tours
We started in 2010, when reaching the Calluqueo glacier was still something you did on your own and with a bit of luck. We were the first to open this route as a guided tour, and we remain the ones who know it best.
We live in Cochrane, on the edge of the Carretera Austral. The gravel road, the Andean Patagonian forest, the lake and the ice are our workplace every day of the season.
We work with small groups, local guides and our own technical gear. The idea is simple: that the glacier is seen properly, understood and travelled safely.

An almost zero carbon footprint
We cross Lake Calluqueo in a boat built for minimum fuel use. That choice keeps our footprint almost nil, and it keeps something just as valuable: the silence of the place.
What you hear out on the water is the wind and the ice at work. We take small groups, return the same day, and leave no installations behind in the valley.
